Banbridge Town Juniors FC is the youth section of Banbridge Town Football Club. We have around 350 players, ranging in age from 5 to 17.
Every week we field 30 teams across 10 age groups, in the Mid Ulster Youth League, Lisburn and Castlereagh Youth League, and the ABC Small Sided Games programs.

Who We Are
We are a community football club.
We are run entirely by volunteers, with 97% of them being parents of existing players. Without their support and commitment, we simply couldn't operate.
We aim to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children to engage and thrive in team sport.
We provide a proven pathway from first kicks through to senior competitive football, with a steady stream of Juniors making their debuts in the third tier of Irish League football season after season.
Teams & Age Groups
Our teams, and the competitions they play in, are split into age groups based on year of birth.
We build multiple teams for every age group to accommodate the variance in abilities we see at every stage of childhood. Players will play in teams, and against teams, at a level that is suited to their current ability. This is a fluid process due to the differing rates at which children develop technically, physically and emotionally.
The format of the game for every age group is decided by the IFA and NIYFA, following the NI Youth Football Framework. Our teams will start at 3v3, then 5v5 and 7v7 during their primary school years, followed by 9v9 and eventually 11v11 in their teenage years.

Coaching & Development
We believe that a child's football journey is a shared one between you, your child, their team mates and their coaches. We understand that team sport is vital to physical and social development, but also for creating memories and bonds with other local kids.
We do what we can to develop technical footballers, but the focus is on enjoyment. The element of competitiveness is introduced during their secondary school years.
Matches, Fixtures & Updates
Depending on the league or program each team competes in, our players will play weekend matches anywhere between Lisburn, Newry, and the greater ABC council area.
Our members are notified of their upcoming games as soon as they are confirmed by the leagues. All games take place on a Friday evening or Saturday morning.
Every year, pre-season commences in August, with the season starting in September before finishing at the end of April. Some teams will enter end of season tournaments in May, before breaking for summer.
Match results do not matter for U7-U10. During these years, matches are for enjoyment, experimenting, and learning. All relevant match results for U11-U17 are published on the NI Football app.
